Capsule Bio
Gansukh was born and raised on the steppes, a masterful archer and skilled hunter. His clan served in Chagatai Khan’s retinue, enforcing Mongol rule in central Asia. Gansukh served with distinction at the siege of Kozelsk. He is also known for enforcing the law and keeping the various tribes and clans from fighting each other. He earned a reputation for being fair and honest.
Recently, Chagatai Khan gave Gansukh a special assignment: go to Karakorum and keep watch over Ögedei Khan's drinking habits. Fairly innocent of the ways of court, he finds his assignment chafing and claustrophobic (being inside buildings doesn't help). He is a warrior of the steppes; to Ögedei, he is a symbol of the Mongol spirit that has been lost.
His name means “steel axe.”
